The Smart Gutter measures substrate weight, drain volume, drain temperature and drain EC. The measurement of (irrigation/fertigation) dripper volume, substrate moisture (permittivity). (EC and temperature is optional.)

The Smart Gutter can be used to measure and optimize:

• Watering. The substrate weight measurement is very accurate to calculate total moisture in the mat, water feed and drain percentage.
• Root Stress. Especially in non-heated greenhouses the drain temperature provides an indication of temperature root stress during winter conditions.
• Optimal Drain Volume. By measuring the drain EC optimum settings can be found for flushing mineral build up in the substrate mat.
