Polly is the robotic platform developed by Arugga AI. The  robot successfully replicates buzz pollination. "The robot sees the tomato, identifies its ripeness, decides whether or not to pick it. If it decides to pick it, it'll go up suck it in to the vacuum system, pass through the tube and drops it into a crate. Then the crate will get shifted into the packing cart."

In terms of speed, Panasonic claims it can match a human worker by harvesting 10 tomatoes every minute. The key to the robot's speed is the fast movement of the arm combined with the AI system Panasonic employed to select edible tomatoes. The robot can be mounted on a rail system allowing it to quickly move from one vine to another.
