In-Bench Heating for Cost and Energy-Efficiency 

study published in California Agriculture by professors Bryan M Jenkins, Roy M Sachs and Glen W Forister showed that conductive under-bench heating systems used 25% less energy than conventional perimeter heating systems. This same bench heating system maintained even canopy temperatures around the plants and resulted in fewer hot and cold pockets. This system produced consistent output in and around the plants where they needed it most with less input.

On-Floor Heating – Roll and Grow

Heating a floor area or a bench has never been easier! We offer our new Roll’n Grow® mat systems in multiple styles: one optimized for bench application and one that is just right for floor production areas. Manufactured in our Cotati production warehouse.

Grow Media Sets the Temperature

We have developed a special one-of-a-kind machine that bonds with various types of heating tubes to weed barrier (black or white) or to open mesh (for bench applications).

The master rolls are up to 12’ wide, but we can provide widths to match your floor or bench needs. Simply roll the mat out on the surface, connect the manifolds and supply and return lines to a hot water source and pump. A thermostat with a soil probe controls the system based on media temperature.

In-floor Heating

Hydronic Heating Versus Forced Air Systems

Forced air systems rely on directly warming air which is a poor heat conductor making them slow and ineffective. And these systems pump that hot air air back into the grow room at designated choke points. This hot air is then distributed unevenly affecting your plants. On the other hand, our innovative hydronic systems circulate consistent, radiant heat via water pipes distributed throughout your facility. The result is quick, even climate control with less effort. 

Our vertical in-crop heating systems are a much more efficient way to provide heat. A vertical loop of our innovative DuoFin piping can provide as much heat as forced air heating. However, because of its placement, our system concentrates heat directly around your plants where it’s most needed. Plus, this system is ideal for hanging plants in commercial greenhouses where you need to maximize both horizontal and vertical spaces without worry of uneven grow environments.
