Biofilm<\/span><\/h3>

To combat biofilm, a double transmitter of 100 watts should always be used. Experience has shown that biofilm is removed from an area of 1,250-1,600\u00a0 m2<\/sup>. The size of the pool does not matter, several transmitters can be placed.<\/span><\/p>

Algae and Biofilm
<\/span><\/h3>

Of all micro-organisms algae are the easiest for our floating, cavitating ultrasonic transmitters to kill . Many pools are made algae free. Our smallest 60watt transmitter can keep areas of 1,000-1,500 m2<\/sup> free of algae. The double 100watt transmitters control both algae and biofilm over an area of 1,250-1,750 m2<\/sup>.\u00a0 <\/span>

How do ultrasonic transmitters work?<\/span><\/h3>

Ultrasonic transmitters constantly send sound at very high frequencies into the water. This causes cavitation.
Cavitation is the creation of gas bubbles between the water molecules. The bubbles become larger and larger due to the continuous sound. Eventually, the gas bubbles become unstable and implode.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Imploding bubbles causes a pressure wave of 2,000 bar. The waves moves through the water at 1,250 m\/s, destroying microorganisms present, killing algae and causing them to sink to the bottom.

We have been doing business with Ultramins and Robert for about 3 years now. Being very skeptical in the beginning we only started treating our pond of 2.200 m2<\/sup>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Our pond is a natural pond, with no liner. The water here has a lot of \u2018clay dust\u2019 making it very cloudy. This was an issue for us as we couldn\u2019t have our cloudy water being treated by an UV-system, this simply will not work. All algae were eliminated in a relative short period, in about 3 weeks.<\/span><\/p>

So, after seeing good results in the pond by using 2 DT 100 watt transmitters, we decided to also treat our 2 silo\u2019s with ultrasonic transmitters. We don\u2019t regret this decision one bit. We placed 1 transmitter in our leach tank to make sure biofilm doesn\u2019t grow and we placed 5 units in our stock water tank + adding H2O2 . This stock water tank is being filled with treated pond and leach water. Both silos are 400 m3<\/sup>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Our annual usage of H2O2 has dropped by 20-25% and the water is constantly of good quality, without any maintenance or monitoring. Our stock tank fills up in the night, the water gets treated during the whole night combined with H2O2 and the next day this water goes to the plants. We can honestly say we have not one issue in our irrigation water. It\u2019s probably hard to believe for people who haven\u2019t used this system before, as it was for me. This system saves me a lot of time, as you know the water is always of good quality. The system was easy to put in place, without having to make any changes to our irrigation system. So far I have not seen any negative side to its use.<\/span><\/p>
